Our
Submission Guidelines
Bent Masses buys exclusive electronic rights for three months. This
means that a piece can only be published on Bent Masses during those
three months. We do accept reprints, except for traditional poetry.
Reprints will be paid for at a lower rate than unpublished pieces. Bent
Masses rates are as follows;

Bent
Masses accepts submissions that explore intriguing realms of science
fiction, fantasy, horror, and the surreal. While some adult content is
okay this is not an e-zine for erotic fiction. Please do not submit
pieces that have excess foul language. A word here and there in dialog
and thought is expectable.
* Short Fiction: We accept short stories
6,000 words
or fewer in length. If your story goes up to 500 words over this limit
and is great, we may consider it for publication.
* Flash Fiction: For those authors who
write
extremely short fiction. Flash fiction should be no more than 1,000
words in length, and should be a complete story.
* Series Fiction: These include a number
of short
stories that will be in different issues. This is for those authors who
have considerably longer stories than our short story guidelines.
Authors should send the first two parts of the story, no more than
5,000 words each, and a summary of the entire story.
* Poems: We do accept traditional poetry
less than
100 lines. Poems should tell some sort of story or have a strong focus
in our desired genera.
* Epic Poems: These long poems will be
treated as short fiction, and must tell a story.
*Reprint submissions should have the
date and place
where they were published prior to being submitted to Bent Masses.
Also, authors should make sure that the piece can be published again.

editor@bentmasses.com.
Please put "submission" in the subject line with the title of the
submission, and under which submission type it falls. Times New Roman
font please. An author bio no more than 50 words with one link to
author's site is accepted. Submit one short fiction, flash
fiction or epic poem at a time and no more than 3 traditional
poems.
Payment is made via PayPal upon publication.
Authors also receive a free three month
book announcement upon publication in Bent Masses.
